Overview

EV Expo has been planned from the very beginnng to be different. There are lots of industry trade show on the calendar and seemingly more each year. What sets EV Expo apart is its grassroots - consumer - small business - community planner focus. Each of the three days of the EVent are tailored to the interests, needs and desires of these key groups.

CONSUMER: Tuesday, Feb 21, 2012

The first day of the EV Expo is aimed to provide decision-making information for the retail consumer ranging from the review of automaker e-drive portfolios with EV World publisher Bill Moore. Leading electric two-wheel expert Ed Benjamin tackles the opposite end of the electric vehicle spectrum. David Kerzel introduces homeowners to the important aspects of safely charging EVs at home. The day wraps up with John "Plasma Boy" Wayland, whose exploits with his 'White Zombie' 1972 Datsun electric dragster have been feature on public television.

BUSINESS: Wednesday, Feb 22, 2012

Day two of the event shifts its attention from retail consumers to small business "implementers." Led by experts in the practice of EV conversions, the first two sessions explain the ins and outs of conversions and the business opportunities. Martin Schuerman is scheduled to discuss electric vehicle fleet operations based on his company's experience developing port logistics trucks. Battery experts will discuss the integration of this critical technology into conversions, followed by the business of installing charging stations, both residential and commercial. The Electric Automobile Association is a nationwide grassroots organization that has long kept the dream of EVs alive, and Carl Vogel will brief on its scope and philosophy.

Day three moves to the interests and needs of those responsible for planning and administering the energy and transportation systems of society. Experts from New York City to Tampa to Santa Monica will share their insights into the planning needs of communities introducing a electric mobility technologies and the economic and policy implications.

Workshops

Three days hands-on workshops taught by recognized experts in their specific fields including Do-it-yourself, Do it for business and Do it for Service for two-wheels and four wheels projects. Each workshop has its own unique emphasis that shares information and insights that not only explain how to build your own electric bike or car, but also how to build a business.

Fees

Event pricing ranges from $295 for one day to $695 to all three days of the EV Forums and Exhibition Hall access. DIY Workshops run from $245 to $345. Industry and education discounts apply.

You can sign-up for individual workshops or topic days, or you can sign up for all three days either online or at the event itself. We accept both Visa and Mastercard.
